Day 8 - CROSS

Cross - noun
1. An upright post with a transverse piece near the top, on which condemned persons were executed in ancient times; often, upon which Jesus was crucified.
2. A cruficix.
3. Any of various modofications of the cross design, such as a Latin cross or Maltese cross.
4. A medal, emblem, or insignia in the form of a cross.

I do Ukrainian eggs. A special request was made by a daughter to do an egg depicting Rafael's Madonna & Child for her mother and yet keep the 'flavor' of the pysanky symmetry, using the hot wax and dye procedure. The reverse of this egg is that painting, but I needed something for the back side, and did this Russian Cross.
